Bridging the Gap

Bridging the Gap is a Fulbright-funded project that fosters public participation in urban design by connecting local communities, public sector stakeholders, and undergraduate students. It enhances civic engagement and a sense of belonging through dialogue, awareness, and integration with ongoing urban projects in Amman, such as the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).

This participatory framework, rooted in design thinking and a lean approach, engaged undergraduate students in public urban projects via a design competition and a mapping initiative with the local community.
